Chilled at apt then went to WoD -- at 11 we closed to do inventory but me and 3 other CPs were voluntold to sort and count charms while everyone else got to leave early :( sad but I don't mind being paid to count charms honestly! If only it wasn't so late haha-- then we went home and sleeep!
Tour of Epcot Undiscovered Future World-- learned about Spaceship Earth - the Communication Pavillion, did the Seas, Land, Imagination then crossed over and did Energy, Wonders of Life, Space, Motion and went backstage then ended at Odyssey Festival Place! Learned a lot of fun facts and saw some backstage VIP lounges!
Then grabbed lunch from Mexico and went to MK to meet with Diana-- saw Festival of Fantasy for the first time, then got our SOTMK cards and went to Fantasyland, then Main Street, Adventureland and Fantasy -- We also tried the Orange Cream and the Hei Hei Cone-- after our first four we decided to leave and came back home -- watched the Bachelor. Monday, 25th
Did Laundry and went to my entertainment class -- had to take a bus to Vista Way, then wait until the charter busses came to take us to the Maingate Complex, then had a guest speaker talk about how Disney takes projects from idea to completion and sustainment. Then came back to apartment and ate cake, cleaned, played board games (Quelf) with roommates and did karaoke. Tuesday, 26th Went to Walmart -- another big and heavy haul! LOVE going to the grocery store by bus. Then went to WOD -- Worked Zone 2 and register! Went for Indian Food, then got Dole Whip from Disney Springs and went for work, but got an Early Release so got DS Food Trucks -- it's SOO good! -- not much to say but pictures of food!
If there is a right way to do Disney in a day, this is it. Got up at 6 to go to MK -- we got into park first, and ate at Be Our Guest YUM!! We ordered one entree for two of us since it is a bit pricey $28 flat fee. We shared the Croque Madame which was DELICIOUS and worth it! And I had the complimentary pastries-- the chocolate croissant was super good! We also go the Master's Cupcake which was eh. I recommend if you go to also get a chocolate milk or other bottled drink since they also offer complimentary OJ/soft drinks/coffee/tea so that way you get double drinks and one is to go for later with your pastries! ;) !We then went to 7D Mine Train which was basically a walk on! Then did Enchanted Tales with Belle, did Splash Mountain, then Jungle Cruise and Big Thunder Mountain then PhilarMagic and Ariel's Undersea Adventure, then left for EPCOT! We took the bus to Boardwalk and then walked to EPCOT-- we went to Morocco and started Kidcot, tried the Japan Taiyaki - which we didn't really like, then got the Musical Float from America-- which the slushy was good but the ice cream was unneeded. We then watched the Reflections of China film, got Lobster Mac and Cheese and Club Cool, then went to Figment! Then we did Test Track, got a deconstructed BLT and Pop Artsicle then went back to Beach Club and took boat to HS. Ran to Voyage of the Little Mermaid but missed it so went to Star Tours, then Indiana Jones, missed Little Mermaid again but waited for the next show, then got dinner from Woody's Toy Box, saw Fantasmic, and went home!
Thursday, 21st
Had a CP meeting about our resources then work - I was the last one on register so it was kind of fun but stressful to be the only one in the whole store on it! Friday, 22nd LONG 10 hour shift! Did not like! Then Matthew came! We went to DLuxe Burger for dinner -- it was okay. Then time to rest for a LONG and EARLY day tomorrow! Went to Boma for Breakfast with rms! Best things were POG juice, French Toast and the Goat Cheese Scrambled Eggs!
Then had DHS shift-- went two hours early took an hour to find costumes that fit then went to Take 5/Company D and bought tickets, the lockers had NO LOCKS and I didn't know so a LITTLE panicked, but it was fine! Then greeted in Beverly merch for 15 min then went to OUAT for register, then back to Beverly then break then other side, then legends then closed OUAT the park was deserted by 9:30 and I was there until 10:30pm so when I walked out by myself it was pretty creepy-- there were MAYBE only 20 other people there... yeah not super fun, but it's okay! Wanted to sleep in too but I GOT FAST PASSES FOR SEVEN DWARVES! In the morning too and only a week before! Crazy! I got into the park and watched Move it Shake it Mousekedance it, then went to 7D. Had lunch at Pinocchio's and got a Peter Pan float, which I honestly didn't love, which is sad cause I love Key Lime and ice cream and Sprite. Then went to People Mover which was low-key TERRIFYING through Space Mountain in the PITCH BLACK and I was alone in my car. No thanks.
Then saw Hall of Presidents. Yeah. I visited Alexis at work in Frontierland then went on Splash and Space Mountain-- which was WAY bumpier than I remember.... maybe I won't sit in the back next time. Got Lunching Pad - a frozen Coke and cream cheese pretzel, which tbh is all I've wanted this whole time- SO GOOD. Then walked to the Contemporary and went to DU where there was a talk on Navigating your Disney Career provided by PULSE for Black History Month. It was super interesting to hear from the guest speakers and how they got to their current roles, their struggles and advice, especially as a person of color. Then went home, showered, ate and watched TV! Friday 2/15
Slept in and got work done, then had work 7-1am closing shift-- was in Zone 4 and 2 which was NOT my favorite! Saturday 2/16 Had 1-8:30 so spent all day at work! I definitely like afternoon or night shifts better! Sunday 2/17 Went to an Artist Talk at EPCOT for FOTA-- "So you want to be a Disney Artist?" It was cool to see the work of working DPLE artists go from idea and design into reality. Also got a Frangipane (almond croissant/pastry) from France then walked through Beach Club and took Bus to DS. I got Blaze for lunch then sat in the break room and waited for work which was 5:45-11:45pm. Monday 2/18 Another long day 12-9:45! Getting those OT hours though! I went to EPCOT ran to Paris and got the Bacon cheese roll, Ham and Cheese croissant, and the beignet. None of them were good enough that I would go out of my way to buy them again, but in terms of Disney food, it was pretty cheap and filling. I went to the Lion King artist talk, then I sat in the Odyssey and drew Donald, Minnie, Pooh, Scrooge, Goofy, Mickey and Chip. The artist teaching did slightly newer styles than the classic versions I learned previously at Animation Academy in Hollywood Studios and DCA, so it was interesting. In between one I went to Innoventions and ate my croissant with some free Club Cool soda for lunch. I also did Test Track and got a Pop-Artsicle. Drew more. Went to Company D. Went to Taste Track and got Cronut/Lobster Mac. Then Alexis came and we went around the world showcase (KIDCOT!) and did Mexico ride and Frozen, saw Illuminations, went to Publix. Also got cute V Day gifts from Roomies!
